About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician maintains a clean and safe work environment in assigned areas of an inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Assigned areas may include patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby. The role includes replenishing soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable supplies. The position is per diem in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with compensation of $18.00 per hour. Post-offer employment testing (POETs) is part of onboarding and must be completed before the first day of work.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience is required.
• Complete post-offer employment testing (POETs) before the first day of work.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital environmental services (EVS) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in assigned areas, which may include patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby.
• Help maintain a safe environment by immediately reporting unsafe conditions to a supervisor or appropriate department.
• Replenish supplies, including soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable items.
