About The Position

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is hiring a per diem Environmental Services Technician for its inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Chester, New Jersey. The hospital provides care to people facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges associated with brain and spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. Environmental Services Technicians help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment that supports patient recovery and visitor satisfaction. The schedule is 2 p.m. to 10 p.m., with alternating weekends and six shifts per six-week schedule. Compensation is $19.30 per hour plus a shift differential.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience.
• Must be available for six shifts per six-week schedule, including three weekend shifts on Saturdays or Sundays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous hospital Environmental Services experience.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain clean halls, stations, waiting rooms, and patient rooms.
• Report physical-plant repair issues and needs daily or as needed.
• Dust mop and wet mop floors as necessary to keep them clean and safe.
• Clean and polish metal trim, furnishings, and equipment as necessary; wash walls, windows, and beds as assigned.
• Strip, wax, and buff floors as assigned, following safety precautions.
• Move furniture as requested.
• Replenish soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable supplies.
