About The Position

AllRock Consulting is rapidly growing, and we’re looking for an experienced Project Coordinator for our Toronto office, where the successful candidate would have a unique opportunity to help deliver environmental services on a wide variety of exciting projects across Ontario.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Earth or Environmental Science, Civil, Environmental, or Geological Engineering, Hydrogeology or Geology, or equivalent related disciplines.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role/environment.
  • Experience preparing planning documents associated with O. Reg. 406/19
  • Strong understanding of Ontario’s Excess Soil Regulation and industry best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships successfully and exhibit strong leadership qualities.
  • Skilled in engaging with the public, clients, contractors, and colleagues.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach to addressing urgent matters.
  • Desire to succeed in a dynamic, progressive organization
  • A high level of integrity and pride in quality work is imperative.
  • Proven technical writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Eligibility for P.Geo. or P.Eng. certification would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and Assessments of Past Uses (APUs), including site visits, client interviews, historical research, regulatory agency reviews, and the preparation of findings and recommendations.
  • Coordinate and oversee field programs for Phase II ESAs, Excess Soil Regulation (O. Reg. 406/19) projects, and geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations, including soil and groundwater sampling, surface water and sediment sampling, and soil tracking activities.
  • Manage field data collection, coordinate laboratory submissions, and lead the preparation of technical deliverables including data tables, figures, and comprehensive environmental reports.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project health and safety, ensuring compliance with the Company's safety program and policies across project teams; proactively identify training needs and confirm all personnel are competent and confident to perform assigned tasks safely.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with analytical laboratories, clients, and sub-contractors; coordinate project logistics and communications to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with AllRock staff to develop tailored solutions that meet the diverse needs of our client base, contributing to a consistent and high standard of service delivery.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance; promptly notify the Company owner in the event of any change in license status.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
