Entry-Level Investigator

Ethos Risk Services•Atlanta, GA

About The Position

Ethos Risk Services is an insurance claims investigation and medical management company specializing in surveillance and fraud detection. The full-time, entry-level Field Investigator role provides a fully paid Investigator Training Program for candidates with no prior experience. Training begins in a virtual classroom and continues with on-the-job training, with ongoing development and support. The company also pays investigator licensing fees and provides guidance through the licensing process. Investigators prepare cases through social media and database research, conduct covert vehicle-based surveillance, capture video evidence, and write detailed, court-ready reports. They submit case reports and upload video footage using a personal laptop. The role involves working independently, often alone in a vehicle, with regular guidance and mentorship from a field supervisor. Assignments are generally intended to be within a reasonable drive of the investigator’s residence, though further travel and occasional overnight stays may be required; overnight stays are covered by the company. Most surveillance cases begin at 6:00 a.m. End times vary with activity, and a typical workday may last 3–12 hours. Weekends and holidays are common workdays. Investigators must remain alert and ready to use videography equipment, regardless of weather conditions. The company provides necessary surveillance equipment, which the employee may keep after one year of employment. Pay increases are tied to performance milestones during training and the first year, and mileage reimbursement is offered.
