Entry-Level Investigator

Ethos Risk Services•Philadelphia, PA

About The Position

Ethos Risk Services is hiring a full-time Entry-Level Field Investigator to conduct insurance claims investigations, surveillance, and fraud detection. No prior experience is necessary. The role includes a fully paid investigator training program, beginning with virtual classroom training and continuing with on-the-job training, plus ongoing development and mentorship. The company pays investigator licensing fees and provides necessary surveillance equipment; after one year of employment, the equipment is yours to keep. The position involves preparing cases through social media and database research, conducting covert vehicle-based surveillance, capturing video evidence, and writing detailed, court-ready reports. Investigators finalize case files and upload reports and video footage using a personal laptop. Assignments are intended to be within a reasonable drive of the investigator’s residence, but occasional longer travel and overnight stays may be required and are covered by the company. The role offers performance-based pay increases during training and the first year, mileage reimbursement, and medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, plus a 401(k). Most surveillance cases begin at 6:00 a.m. End times vary with activity, and a typical workday can last 3–12 hours. Weekends and holidays are common workdays. This independent role often involves spending long hours alone in a vehicle in any weather, staying alert without external distractions, and being ready to use videography equipment. A background check will be conducted in accordance with applicable local laws and regulations.
