About The Position

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL), a member of Genesis Global Group, is a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory specializing in automated DNA-based molecular analysis and PCR testing, with a broad infectious disease testing menu. MDL is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Entry Level Account Manager to maintain a large base of existing customers and act as a liaison between management and customers to resolve customer issues. The position covers San Antonio, Austin, McAllen, and Brownsville, Texas, and requires travel throughout the coverage area, with occasional nationwide and overnight travel.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of successful customer service experience.
• Fluency in English.
• Well-developed multitasking and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
• Energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, email, and internet functions.
• Knowledge of laboratory testing and competing products.
• Ability to travel within the coverage area and occasionally nationwide, including overnight travel when necessary.
• Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls; sit, stand, and walk; and drive a motor vehicle.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish proficiency.
• Medical Assistant certification or an associate degree; a BA/BS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Grow client-base revenues by presenting information about new tests, upselling, and identifying new revenue sources among existing clients.
• Establish positive, long-term client relationships.
• Educate and train clients, research problems, and coordinate solutions between the laboratory and clients.
• Work with the Senior Sales Executive and Regional Manager to identify client concerns and help develop and implement client-retention strategies.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report client satisfaction, and recommend corrective action when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of competitors and their presence in the assigned territory.
