About The Position

AfterShip is hiring an Enterprise Account Executive to win new customers among large eCommerce retailers and direct-to-consumer brands in North America. The role owns a named list of target accounts and leads complex, multi-stakeholder SaaS sales cycles from account research and initial outreach through negotiation and close. The Account Executive will develop account strategies, build relationships with senior executives and economic buyers, conduct consultative discovery, and create executive business cases tied to merchants’ operational and financial outcomes. The role partners with Marketing, BDRs, ecosystem partners, Solutions Architects, Product Marketing, Professional Services, RevOps, and Customer Success to source, advance, close, and transition business for long-term customer partnerships. It is remote, with a preference for candidates in the United States (New York, California, Utah, or Texas) or Toronto, Canada. Collaboration with teams in Asia and Europe may require working outside regular business hours one to two times per week. Travel of up to 20% is required.

Requirements

  • Documented record of meeting or exceeding quota.
  • History of closing six-figure, multi-stakeholder deals with sales cycles of six months or longer.

  • Ability to explain a structured, repeatable sales process, including qualification, multi-threading, and mutual action planning.
  • Confidence navigating security questionnaires, legal redlines, and complex procurement processes.
  • Hunter mindset, including opening doors at target accounts without existing relationships and proactively building pipeline rather than relying on inbound leads.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or a comparable CRM, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and modern sales engagement tools.
  • High coachability and ownership, including seeking feedback, reviewing calls, and independently establishing a work rhythm.
  • Ability to travel up to 20%.

  • Experience at a company scaling into the enterprise segment and helping shape its sales playbook.

  • Lead consultative discovery to map merchants’ post-purchase technology and processes, quantify the cost of the status quo, and develop executive business cases tied to support costs, shipping spend, return rates, and repeat-purchase revenue.
  • Qualify opportunities using a structured framework such as MEDDICC and use mutual action plans to align champions, buyers, and timelines.
  • Coordinate the deal team, including Solutions Architects for technical discovery, integrations, and tailored demos, and Product Marketing for competitive strategy.
