Engineering Director, Automated Material Handling Systems

Intel Corporation•Chandler, AZ
•$211,400 - $298,440•Onsite

About The Position

Intel is transforming its global Assembly and Test manufacturing network to support advanced packaging, AI products, and high-volume semiconductor production. The Engineering Director will define, develop, and execute the roadmap for automated material handling systems (AMHS), factory automation, and autonomous logistics across greenfield and brownfield Assembly and Test factories. The role combines strategic direction-setting with hands-on execution, drawing on operational experience in semiconductor manufacturing, large-scale factory transformation, and emerging automation technologies. The position leads the development of future-state factory architectures, major capital investment alignment, and complex factory conversion programs. It also oversees equipment engineers responsible for selecting, developing, deploying, and ramping automated material handling systems in CATD and ATM Assembly/Test factories. The role is based on-site in Phoenix, Arizona, and is identified as a Position of Trust requiring consent to and passage of an extended background investigation.
