About The Position

Ferguson is seeking an Engineered Solutions Specialist for its Geo Stormwater team. The role generates opportunities to include Ferguson’s engineered stormwater, erosion, and geosynthetic products and solutions in civil sitework projects across an assigned territory. The specialist presents and promotes engineered solutions to specifiers—including civil engineers, municipalities, and landscape architects—to encourage their use in designs, projects, and programs. This is a remote position. Because the role requires regular travel, face-to-face meetings, and site visits within North and South Carolina, the incumbent must reside in one of those states. The position offers the ability to work from home when not traveling. The role is eligible for a bonus or incentive plan. The estimated monthly pay range is $8,083.34–$12,933.34; actual pay may vary by location, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

  • Prior technical writing experience, including proposals, emails, and submittals.
  • Competent and engaging public speaking skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft applications and navigating multiple software systems.
  • Basic Excel reporting experience, including sorting, filtering, and data compilation.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitask while balancing multiple urgent requests.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain ideas in technical and user-friendly language.
  • Must reside in North Carolina or South Carolina to perform the role’s regular travel, meetings, and site visits.

  • Civil Engineering degree or Engineering license.
  • Three or more years of experience with innovative products in the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management space.

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations throughout the assigned geography.
  • Research local green infrastructure codes and use that knowledge to develop targeted sales strategies for municipalities and developers.
  • Visit end users, engineering firms, and contractors to support project opportunities and expand awareness of Ferguson products.
  • Coordinate and manage projects through the specification process with the Regional Design Engineer/Technical Designer.
  • Support national growth initiatives for the Geosynthetics and Stormwater Management team.
