About The Position

Emergency Medical Technicians respond to emergency and non-emergency requests for medical assistance and deliver high-quality care, treatment, and customer service to patients. This position is located in Osborne, Kansas. EMTs assess patients, determine necessary care, and deliver emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment. They document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights, and help maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment. EMTs operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and applicable traffic laws, and work professionally and collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs. They may also participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and build strong community relations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Kansas EMT certification or eligibility for Kansas EMT certification.
• CPR certification.
• State driver’s license.
• Driving record compliant with company policy.
• Pass the Physical Ability Test (PAT).

Nice To Haves

• NREMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients, determine necessary care, and provide emergency services using appropriate medical techniques and equipment.
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Use appropriate EMT skills, including communications, medical equipment, cleaning procedures, office equipment, and tools.
• Operate an ambulance in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws for emergency medical response vehicles.
• Work professionally and collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow EMTs.
• Participate in community programs to maintain AMR’s image and establish strong community relations.
