Emergency Medicine Physician - Fredericksburg, TX
About The Position
National Wound Physician Group is hiring an Emergency Medicine Physician in Fredericksburg, Texas, to provide bedside wound care in skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting 2–3 facilities per day and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day within a 40–60-mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The position offers clinical autonomy, flexibility, and work-life balance, with no nights, call, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Full-time physicians generally work 4–5 weekdays per week; part-time opportunities require at least 3 weekdays per week. The schedule is described as Monday through Friday, with a full-time schedule listed as 7 a.m.–4 p.m. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. W2 physicians earn an average of $300,000 per year, with a stated salary range of $200,000–$350,000 per year.
Requirements
- Hold an active, full, and unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where the physician wishes to practice.
- Commit to at least three weekdays per week.
