About The Position

Overlake Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for its Lynnwood Off-Campus Emergency Department. This hybrid position follows the MultiCare model used across Washington State. The primary role is to perform waived and moderately complex testing and related quality activities within a designated laboratory. The ED Tech also provides direct care to patients of various ages and their families under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This is a per diem position with variable shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Health Care Provider CPR certification is required upon hire.
• Upon hire, hold one of the following active Washington State credentials, and obtain the remaining license within 90 days of hire: Nursing Assistant-Certified (NAC) or Nursing Assistant Registration (NAR), and Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P).
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of recent experience in a health care setting involving patient contact.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG.
• Computer familiarity.
• Knowledge and handling of hospital equipment and record keeping.
