About The Position

Study Smart is hiring a part-time tutor to provide ELA literacy support to students in grades 1–5 in Pacifica, California, during Fall 2026. The tutor will work with small and large groups, adapt to instructional materials and strategies, communicate consistently with Study Smart staff, and collaborate with the Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies. The position requires in-person availability on Mondays and Tuesdays from 4:45 PM to 7:00 PM PST. A completed four-year degree and successful completion of a background check are required; fingerprinting may be included depending on location. Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide ELA literacy tutoring to students in grades 1–5.
• Provide tutoring support to small and large groups of students.
• Use information about class assignments to support tutoring.
• Adapt to new materials and teaching strategies.
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart staff.
• Partner with Study Smart’s Education team to provide comprehensive learning strategies to students.
• Complete onboarding, training, preparation, and support activities.
