About The Position

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Electrician for a project in Midland, North Carolina. The role involves electrical installation and related work in industrial and construction settings, including laying out and installing cable tray, pulling wire, bending conduit, terminating panels using lockout/tagout (LOTO), and working with motor controls and metering. Candidates hired for the project will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months. Significant travel may be required.

Requirements

• Skilled in written and verbal communication.
• Complete all safety and general job training required by SIC.
• Follow SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
• Effectively use all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Safely access property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
• Safely operate all equipment and tools involved in the work.
• Stand for long periods, bend consistently, and work in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders and personnel lifts, in workboats, and in awkward body positions.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow blueprints, sketches, building plans, directions, and installation plans.
• Prepare work layouts using tools such as voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.
• Terminate panels using LOTO procedures.
• Plan installation sequences to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other construction activities.
• Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend various types of conduit.
• Work with motor controls and metering.
• Size branch-circuit overcurrent protection devices and calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits.
• Assess and compare measurements, lines, figures, objects, and materials using applicable standards and measurable criteria.
• Work overhead, beneath structures, and in other positions required by site conditions.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
• Recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Maintain regular attendance and complete other duties as required.
• Complete required SIC safety and general job training and follow SIC and customer safety and quality procedures.
