About The Position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Electrician for a project in Hamlet, North Carolina. The role involves installing and maintaining electrical systems in an industrial construction environment. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months. Significant travel may be required, and regular attendance is required.
Requirements
- Skilled in written and verbal communication.
- Complete all required safety and general job training.
- Follow Southern Industrial Constructors and customer safety and quality processes and procedures.
- Effectively use all required personal protective equipment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to safely access property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
- Able to meet strenuous physical demands, stand for long periods, bend consistently, and work in confined spaces, on ladders and personnel lifts, in workboats, and in awkward body positions.
- Able to safely operate involved equipment and tools.
Responsibilities
- Read and follow blueprints, sketches, building plans, directions, and installation plans.
- Prepare layouts using tools such as voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.
- Terminate panels using LOTO procedures.
- Plan installation sequences to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other construction activities.
- Install cable tray, pull wire, and bend different types of conduit.
- Work with motor controls and metering.
- Size branch-circuit overcurrent protection devices and calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits.
- Use measurable criteria and applicable standards to assess work and compare lines, figures, and objects.
- Work overhead, beneath structures, and in other positions required by site conditions.
- Lift and carry objects of varying weights and identify and respond to dangerous conditions.
- Maintain regular attendance and complete other duties as required.
- Complete required safety and general job training and follow company and customer safety and quality procedures.
- Safely operate required equipment and tools.
