About The Position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking Electrical Helpers for an on-site project in Hamlet, North Carolina. The role assists with electrical installation and related work in manufacturing and industrial environments. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months.
Requirements
- Skilled in written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to effectively use all required personal protective equipment and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to safely access property areas, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
- Must be capable of standing for long periods, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts and workboats, and in awkward body positions.
- Must be able to meet the strenuous physical demands required to perform the essential functions safely.
Responsibilities
- Identify the tools required for assigned tasks.
- Identify safety risks and the precautions needed to eliminate them.
- Assist with cutting, bending, and running conduit according to blueprints.
- Assist with installing, modifying, and fabricating cable tray according to specifications.
- Assist with pulling cable through specified pathways.
- Assist with assembling and installing electrical equipment.
- Assist with terminating wires and cables to electrical equipment, including breakers, control panels, and distribution systems.
- Assist with testing electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications.
- Assist with inspecting electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and ensure good operational condition.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining temporary power systems.
- Assist with installing and maintaining grounding systems for equipment and structures.
- Assist with hoisting equipment and tools into position using bull rigging or a crane.
- Complete required safety and general job training.
- Follow SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures.
