About The Position

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Electrician for a project in Greenville, North Carolina. The role involves electrical installation work, including running cable tray, pulling wire, bending conduit, terminating panels, and working with motor controls and metering. The electrician will follow plans and blueprints, coordinate installation sequencing with other construction work, follow safety and quality procedures, and perform work in varied positions and environments. Significant travel may be required. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months.

Requirements

• Skilled in written and verbal communication.
• Complete all safety and general job training required by SIC.
• Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
• Able to effectively use required PPE and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to safely access property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
• Able to meet strenuous physical demands, including standing for long periods, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders and personnel lifts, in workboats, and in awkward body positions.
• Able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans related to materials and installation.
• Prepare layouts using tools such as voltage testers, wire strippers, levels, and pipe benders.
• Terminate panels using lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Plan installation sequences to avoid obstructions and conflicts with other construction workers’ activities.
• Run cable tray, pull wire, and bend various types of conduit.
• Work with motor controls and metering.
• Size branch-circuit overcurrent protection devices.
• Calculate loads for single-phase and three-phase branch circuits.
• Follow directions, plans, and blueprints and work within specified standards of accuracy.
• Perform work overhead, beneath structures, and in other positions required by working conditions.
• Recognize and respond to dangerous conditions or situations.
• Attend work regularly and perform other duties as required.
• Complete required safety and general job training and observe SIC and customer safety and quality procedures.
• Safely operate required equipment and tools and use required PPE.
• Lift and carry objects of varying weights.
