About The Position
Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. is seeking Electrical Helpers for a project in Greenville, North Carolina. The role assists with electrical installation, assembly, testing, inspection, grounding, temporary power, and rigging tasks in manufacturing and industrial environments. Hired candidates will be considered for benefits and paid time off after three months.
Requirements
- Skilled in written and verbal communication.
- Complete all required SIC safety and general job training.
- Observe SIC and customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
- Effectively use all required personal protective equipment.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Safely access property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops, elevated positions, and confined spaces.
- Safely operate all equipment and tools involved in the work.
- Be capable of standing for extended periods, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts and workboats, and in awkward body positions.
Responsibilities
- Identify the tools required for assigned tasks.
- Identify safety risks and the precautions needed to eliminate them.
- Assist with cutting, bending, and running conduit according to blueprints.
- Assist with installing, modifying, and fabricating cable tray according to specifications.
- Assist with pulling cable through designated pathways.
- Assist with assembling and installing electrical equipment.
- Assist with terminating wires and cables to electrical equipment, including breakers, control panels, and distribution systems.
- Assist with testing electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings according to specifications.
- Assist with inspecting electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and confirm that equipment is in good operating condition.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining temporary power systems.
- Assist with installing and maintaining grounding systems for equipment and structures.
- Assist with hoisting equipment and tools into position using bull rigging or a crane.
