About The Position

The ED Patient Registration Representative is part of the Revenue Cycle Operations team and interacts with patients while registering them for care. The role performs administrative registration duties, including entering demographic and insurance information, collecting copays, obtaining required signatures, and resolving account errors before billing. As a liaison to patients, the community, and healthcare professionals, the representative provides high-quality, compassionate customer service in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department. The team begins the arrival process at the welcome desk and completes registration at the patient's bedside after the patient has seen a care provider. Registration staff partner with clinical staff to help patients receive personal attention and care efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of healthcare registration experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced emergency department environment.

Responsibilities
