About The Position

Five Below is hiring an Early Morning Seasonal Freight Crew associate to support customers and store operations. The role involves assisting customers, sharing product knowledge, promoting store events and offers, resolving customer concerns, communicating merchandise and service needs to management, and working with the team toward store and company goals. The position requires a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts; travel may also be required as needed. Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts; travel may be required.
• Comfortable using or willing to learn technology, including computers, cash registers, hand-held devices, and mobile devices.
• Good communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
• Able to use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Able to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
• Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
• Able to frequently kneel, bend, twist, stoop, ascend and descend ladders, and move across the sales floor and stock room.
• Able to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and place or retrieve merchandise at heights of 5 to 10 feet.
• Able to discern email and printed instructions and exchange accurate information.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly, assist them, and handle multiple customer interactions efficiently.
• Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, and making recommendations.
• Use suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
• Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
• Address customer concerns and use product knowledge to suggest alternatives, including exchanges where appropriate.
• Inform management in a timely manner about restocking and service needs and customer feedback.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company objectives and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
• Operate the cash register, computer, hand-held, phone, walkie, and mobile devices.
• Move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds and place or retrieve merchandise at heights of 5 to 10 feet.
• Use ladders to retrieve and put away stock, and move merchandise between the sales floor and stock room.
• Communicate and exchange accurate information with customers, managers, and coworkers in person and by telephone.
• Read and interpret email and printed instructions concerning merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
