About The Position

An international AmLaw 100 firm is seeking an E-Billing Specialist for its New York City office. The role is responsible for the timely submission and monitoring of electronic bills for a large number of the firm’s clients. The position follows a hybrid schedule, with four days onsite and one day remote, and offers an annual base salary of $85,000 to $100,000 plus a performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits package.

Requirements

1–4 years of relevant e-billing experience at a law firm.
Experience with Elite Enterprise or Aderant.
Motivated, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize workload, multitask, and work independently.
Ability to handle a large volume of work.
Patience in working with invoices that may be repeatedly rejected.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Driven to contribute to the success of the team.
Flexibility to adapt to various situations, including overtime if needed.
Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Submit e-bills to clients using Bill Blast and various e-billing vendors, and verify successful submission.
Create new e-files using the industry-standard Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) format.
Work with Client Billing Specialists to identify and resolve issues on submitted e-bills.
Submit timekeeper data to clients and e-billing vendors.
Submit budget and accrual information to clients.
Work with Billing and Collections departments to address client deductions and other issues.
Work with the Pricing Department to verify rate arrangements.
Monitor the status of e-billed invoices.
Follow up on outstanding e-bills and assist with collection efforts.
Back up the other E-Billing Specialists.
