About The Position

A Dunkin Donuts associate is responsible for daily execution of the Mission Statement by providing First Class Service to internal and external guests. The role involves creating a friendly environment, greeting and acknowledging guests, maintaining solid product knowledge, assisting guests with product decisions, and using suggestive selling methods. The position focuses on helping guests with food, beverages, and retail products.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of math for calculating costs, making change, and following cash-handling procedures.
Ability to work unsupervised for extended periods and exercise good judgment when dealing with guests.
Good communication skills and ability to work independently and with other team members.
Flexibility to work nights and weekends, and various shifts in a 7/365 team-oriented environment.
Excellent customer-service skills and ability to communicate effectively.
Self-starter able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and unexpected situations.
Proficiency in reading and writing.
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds and perform essential job functions, including standing, bending, reaching, climbing a ladder, and walking long distances.

Food and beverage experience is preferred but not required.

Exceed First Class Service standards and behavior with every guest, business partner, and peer.
Treat guests and peers in accordance with the company’s core values and regularly use established store communication.
Process point-of-sale transactions quickly and efficiently while following cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures.
Maintain high standards for product preparation and presentation.
Educate guests about vendor products and maintain knowledge of coffee.
Build guest loyalty and improve selling skills using available training materials.
Maintain a clean, organized work environment free of safety hazards, including removing trash, sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes.
Restock and assist with inventory as needed.
Follow merchandising standards consistent with company standards.
Comply with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including food-safety requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
