About The Position

At Great Wolf, the Barista creates positive guest interactions by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and handling transactions in a friendly and efficient manner at the coffee shop. The role includes preparing orders, providing customer service, supporting merchandising and inventory tasks, maintaining equipment and cleanliness, and helping other food outlets as needed. Full-time, part-time, and flexible scheduling are offered. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Requirements

• Some high school education or equivalent.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Flexibility regarding scheduling based on business demands.
• Ability to use basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret English-language manuals relating to safety, operations, and procedures.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience demonstrating strong customer service.
• Prior experience using restaurant equipment and following sanitation standards.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal direction.
• Previous experience with cash transactions and point-of-sale systems.
• Demonstrated teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with guests to take food and beverage orders.
• Prepare customer food and beverage orders.
• Provide outstanding customer service and engage in suggestive selling.
• Maintain equipment, perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot breakdowns, and/or call for repairs.
• Assist with merchandising, including display and store design, receiving inventory, stocking, and merchandise pricing.
• Perform cash-handling functions, including using the point-of-sale system and registers and completing daily reporting.
• Ensure the food and beverage outlet meets high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service.
• Ensure the daily operation of the retail outlet follows operating procedure guidelines.
• Assist in other food outlets as needed.
