About The Position

This role involves creating and cashing wagering tickets for guests, handling monetary transactions accurately, and providing excellent customer service. The position requires maintaining a neat and organized workspace, possessing knowledge of property information, and ensuring compliance with federal currency transaction reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will uphold the company's mission and values, representing the organization positively. This role may also involve performing other necessary duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education (GED).
  • Five years of related experience.
  • Previous money handling experience preferred.
  • Must know and comply with requirements of Title 31 Bank Secrecy Act as pertains to Credit/Cage transactions.
  • Must have basic computer skills including casino systems and MS applications including Word and Excel.
  • Data entry skills preferred.
  • Louisiana Gaming Commission work permit is required for this position.
  • Must have basic mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
  • Maintain flexibility to handle changing priorities.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Must have an outgoing personality and enjoy dealing with people.
  • Strong tactical skills.
  • Must possess excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.

  • Able to work all shifts to include weekends and holidays also work 6-day work weeks when required.

Responsibilities

  • Creates wagering tickets and cashes tickets for guests.
  • Collects appropriate amount of money from the guest for wagers and makes the correct change.
  • Assists guests with questions regarding wagering and how to use the self-betting terminals.
  • Verifies and balances drawer funds at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Safeguards funds.
  • Maintains assigned window in a neat, organized, and professional manner.
  • Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia.
  • Provides superior guest service to all guests.
  • Removes, records, and turns in the amount of cash in the register at the end of the shift, with necessary paperwork.
  • Ensures compliance with the federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
