About The Position

Santa Lucia is seeking compassionate and dedicated caregivers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving greater independence and community involvement. The role involves community-based activities, fostering meaningful relationships, and promoting a fulfilling lifestyle for the individuals served. Caregivers provide transportation and supervision, model appropriate behaviors, plan and participate in community activities, support healthy lifestyles, and assist with daily living skills. No prior experience is necessary; comprehensive training is provided. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing a background check, drug test, and I-9. Compensation is $19.19 per hour. Available schedules are Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; or Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and I-9 is required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation and supervision.
• Model appropriate behaviors.
• Plan and participate in community activities, such as movies, bowling, parks, zoo visits, car rides, and sporting events.
• Support individuals in maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
• Assist individuals with daily living skills.
