About The Position

The Propane Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers. The role involves delivering, loading, and unloading propane while providing exceptional customer service. Drivers uphold safety standards in the delivery and handling of propane and conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• CDL Class A or B.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of delivery driver experience is preferred.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from customer containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets; and complete and submit daily driver reports when necessary.
• Maintain equipment to high safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, if applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
• Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on how to resolve them.
• Work overtime when business needs require it.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
