About The Position

The Propane Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers. The role includes delivering, loading, and unloading propane while providing exceptional customer service. Drivers uphold high safety standards when delivering and handling propane, and conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

The position may require overtime when business needs require it. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CDL Class A or B.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• At least 1 year of delivery driver experience preferred.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing; accurately record and print customer delivery tickets; and complete and submit daily driver reports when necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, when applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling, and immediately report product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues for guidance.
• Work overtime when business needs require it.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
