About The Position

The Local Fuel Delivery Driver safely and promptly delivers propane to customers, including loading and unloading product. The role provides customer service while maintaining high safety standards for propane delivery and handling. Drivers also conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance.

The position involves transferring, collecting, loading, and delivering propane to and from bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders; keeping the vehicle clean and organized; using available technology to track inventory, tank levels, and container sizes; and completing delivery tickets and daily driver reports. Drivers maintain equipment, report mechanical issues, conduct vehicle and site inspections and visual tank inspections, and coordinate with the Dispatcher and District Manager regarding routing, scheduling, product, customer, and safety issues. Overtime may be required when business needs require it.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
• Accurately record and print customer delivery tickets and complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to high safety standards and report mechanical issues to the District Manager or Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, when applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
• Immediately notify the District Manager or Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on resolution.
• Work overtime when business needs require it.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
