About The Position

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers. The driver delivers, loads, and unloads propane while providing exceptional customer service. The role is accountable for upholding high safety standards when delivering and handling propane, as well as conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CDL Class A or B.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of delivery driver experience preferred.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
• Accurately record and print customer delivery tickets for product delivered.
• Accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, if applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling information.
• Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on resolving them.
• Work overtime when business needs require it.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
