About The Position

The Propane Bobtail Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to customers. The driver delivers, loads, and unloads propane while providing exceptional customer service, upholding safety standards for propane delivery and handling, and conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance. The position may require overtime when business needs require it, as well as other assigned duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current DOT medical certification.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 1 year of delivery driver experience preferred.
• CDL Class A or B.
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from customer containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
• Accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers and complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager or Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, when applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
• Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on resolving them.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
