About The Position

The Local Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and promptly delivering propane to customers. The role includes delivering, loading, and unloading propane while providing exceptional customer service. Drivers uphold safety standards when delivering and handling propane and conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance. The role may require overtime when business needs require it, and it is eligible for overtime pay after scheduled weekly hours are met. When applicable, it is also eligible for an on-call incentive stipend.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• Current DOT medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
• Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
• Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing; accurately record and print customer delivery tickets; and complete and submit daily driver reports when necessary.
• Maintain equipment according to safety standards and report mechanical issues to the District Manager or Dispatcher.
• Conduct and, if applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
• Coordinate with the Dispatcher about routing and scheduling information.
• Immediately notify the District Manager or Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on resolution.
• Work overtime when business needs require it.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
