About The Position

The Propane Driver is responsible for safely and punctually delivering propane to customers, including transferring, loading, and unloading propane. The role provides customer service and maintains high safety standards for propane delivery and handling. Drivers inspect and maintain their vehicles and equipment, use technology to track inventory and tank levels and prepare delivery records, and coordinate with the Dispatcher on routing, scheduling, and issues. Overtime may be required when business needs require it, and other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
CDL Class A or B.
Current DOT medical certification.
Legal authorization to work in the United States; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year of delivery driver experience.
Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.

Responsibilities

Transfer, collect, load, and deliver propane to and from customer containers, including bulk trucks, tanks, and cylinders.
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
Use available technology to monitor and track propane inventory transfers, tank levels, and container sizing.
Accurately record and print customer delivery tickets for products delivered.
Accurately complete and submit daily driver reports where necessary.
Maintain equipment to the highest safety standards and report mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager or Dispatcher.
Conduct and, if applicable, document pre- and post-vehicle inspections, site inspections, and visual tank inspections.
Coordinate frequently with the Dispatcher regarding routing and scheduling.
Immediately notify the Dispatcher of product, customer, routing, scheduling, or safety issues and obtain guidance on resolving them.
Work overtime when business needs require it.
Perform other duties as assigned.
