About The Position

The Driver Recruiter is an operational recruiting role supporting a high-volume, on-demand courier operation. The position owns the full recruiting cycle for independent contractor drivers, including sourcing, vetting, and managing the prospect pipeline in close coordination with operations. The recruiter must maintain a pipeline deep enough to meet current and anticipated needs for drivers with the required vehicle types, locations, and availability, and respond to operational requests within days.

The role is full-time and onsite, with work hours Monday through Friday, 0800–1700. The company’s operations run 24/7/365. Occasional travel to customer sites or other company locations is required. Employment is subject to a satisfactory background check and drug screening, as well as HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogen, and TSA training.

Requirements

• Experience recruiting independent contractor drivers in a high-volume driver recruiting operation.
• Ability to recruit at operational speed and maintain a full pipeline amid high driver turnover.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with frequent problem-solving and shifting priorities.
• Ability to handle stressful situations professionally.
• Strong consultative and communication skills.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screening.
• Complete HIPAA, Bloodborne Pathogen, and TSA training.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of Keysoft Xcelerator and HubSpot.
• Experience working with a diverse population.

Responsibilities

• Contact and vet prospective independent contractor drivers according to operational needs.
• Maintain a pipeline of prospects sufficient to supply drivers in the required quantity, vehicle type, location, and availability.
• Review applications and match prospects to operational needs.
• Inform prospects about work details, including duties, settlement, schedules, and working conditions.
• Select qualified prospects and schedule orientations.
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies for current and anticipated needs.
• Work with operations to keep routes covered.
• Listen actively, ask relevant questions, and use interpersonal skills and insight to identify ideal prospects.
