About The Position

The Driver Recruiter communicates with Company driver and owner-operator applicants throughout onboarding to recruit, select, and hire qualified individuals. The role involves candidate communications, reviewing application files, tracking recruiting and retention, and helping maintain hiring processes. The recruiter may travel to recruiting events as required by a supervisor.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently and proactively.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Bachelor’s degree, or three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with job candidates regarding employment opportunities.
• Maintains contact with job candidates regarding application and employment statuses.
• Reviews driver application files.
• Meets minimum monthly hiring, calls, talk-time, declined-job, and turnover goals.
• Creates reports to track recruiting and retention.
• Recommends updates to the Company employment package and hiring processes as needed.
• Travels to recruiting events, including trade shows, truck stops, and career fairs, as required by the supervisor.
• Receives and carries out instructions.
• Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with others.
• Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
