About The Position
The Door Attendant sets the tone for Sonesta’s mission of “Wowing” guests with Amazing Moments. The role assists guests entering and leaving the hotel, helps with vehicles and luggage, and provides information about hotel services and local attractions. The attendant may also arrange transportation and communicate parking procedures.
Requirements
- Professional verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including the ability to deal with difficult guests.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests.
- Open doors and assist guests and visitors entering and leaving the property.
- Explain and promote hotel facilities, outlets, and services; provide information about local attractions and activities.
- Transport guest luggage to and from guest rooms or the designated bell area, and assist with luggage storage and retrieval.
- Assist guests and visitors in and out of vehicles, including loading and unloading luggage, and provide directions.
- Arrange transportation for guests and visitors and record advance transportation requests as needed.
- Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors.
