About The Position

The Donor Greeter accepts qualified donations in the designated store donation area and provides donors with a positive experience through customer service, careful handling of donations, and education about the organization's mission. The role evaluates donations against acceptance guidelines, tracks and stages donated goods, helps maintain workstations and an orderly donation area, and supports store operations and product flow. The Donor Greeter also helps keep the store clean, follows safety, security, and company procedures, receives and verifies incoming merchandise, participates in required training and cross-training, and performs other assigned duties.

Requirements

Ability to pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers, including greeting donors within 10 seconds of arrival.
Evaluate donations and determine whether items are usable and saleable according to acceptance guidelines.
Politely decline items on the do-not-accept list and handle accepted donations with care.
Track donations accurately according to management standards.
Maintain proper staging of donated goods, route items to the appropriate stations, and assist with workstation maintenance.
Keep the donation area organized and clean.
Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash cans, and keeping hangers and racks orderly.
Follow required safety and security procedures.
Maintain efficient product flow in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Comply with company and store procedures, including opening and closing tasks, pricing, markdowns, and timely, accurate paperwork.
Receive and verify merchandise arriving from the warehouse and vendors.
Participate in required training and cross-training as assigned by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
