About The Position

The Donor Greeter accepts qualified donations in the designated store donation area and provides a positive donor experience through customer service, careful handling of donations, and education about the organization’s mission. The role also supports store and processing operations by maintaining donation flow, cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company and store policies.

Requirements

Ability to pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers, providing exceptional customer service.
Evaluate donations against the guidelines for acceptable donations and professionally decline items that cannot be accepted.
Track donations accurately according to management standards.
Maintain proper staging of donated goods, reroute items to the correct stations, and assist with workstation maintenance.
Greet donors within 10 seconds of arrival, evaluate donations, handle items with care, and maintain an organized, clean donation area.
Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash cans, and keeping hangers and racks orderly.
Follow required safety and security procedures.
Maintain efficient product flow in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Comply with company and store policies and procedures, including opening and closing tasks, pricing, markdowns, and timely, accurate paperwork.
Receive and verify merchandise arriving at the location from the warehouse and vendors.
Participate in required training and cross-training as assigned by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
