About The Position

The Donor Greeter accepts qualified donations at the designated store donation area and helps provide a positive donor experience through customer service, careful handling of donations, and education about the organization’s mission. The role also supports donation processing and store operations by organizing donated goods, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and following company and store policies and procedures.

Requirements

Ability to pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers, including greeting donors within 10 seconds of arrival.
Evaluate donations against acceptance guidelines and professionally decline items that cannot be accepted.
Determine which items are usable and saleable according to donation guidelines.
Track donations accurately according to management standards.
Stage donated goods properly, route items to the correct processing stations, and help maintain workstations.
Handle donations with care and keep the donation area organized and clean.
Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash cans, and keeping hangers and racks orderly.
Follow required safety and security procedures.
Maintain efficient product flow in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Comply with company and store policies, including opening and closing tasks, pricing, markdowns, and timely, accurate paperwork.
Receive and verify merchandise arriving from the warehouse and vendors.
Participate in required training and cross-training as assigned by management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
