About The Position

This role is responsible for ensuring donor and customer delight at the donation center. Key duties include greeting donors, unloading donations, providing tax receipts, and maintaining accurate donation counts. The attendant is also responsible for the stewardship of donated items, ensuring they remain property of Memphis Goodwill and are not used personally. This includes breaking down donations into categories, maintaining the site according to image and safety standards, and ordering/maintaining supplies. The position requires adherence to all Memphis Goodwill policies, good safety and security practices, and accurate reporting of equipment usage. The attendant will also assist the transportation team when possible, communicate with leadership about site opportunities, and support peers. Participation in activities outside of Goodwill and attending assigned training are also part of the role. Other duties may be assigned by leadership.

Requirements

• Must greet donors in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner within 10 seconds.
• Must ensure donor understands the process.
• Must be able to unload donations from vehicles.
• Must be able to offer tax receipts.
• Must maintain accurate daily counts of donations.
• Must be responsible for the stewardship of all donated items.
• Must break down donations into categories.
• Must maintain drive-through and ADC site in accordance with image and safety standards.
• Must be responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies in an efficient manner.
• Must secure and appropriately use supplies.
• Must adhere to all Memphis Goodwill and personnel policies and procedures.
• Must follow good safety and security practices.
• Must report safety hazards and injuries to the operations leadership team and/or risk management.
• Must ensure proper accuracy of donor tracking and counts.
• Must ensure proper use and accurately reporting of on-hand equipment.
• Must work in a safe manner.
• Must adhere to proper handling of material movement equipment.
• Must communicate any safety hazards or concerns.
• Must be able to assist the Transportation team with the delivery and pick up of equipment both full and empty whenever possible.
• Must perform duties within the framework of Guiding Principles.
• Must communicate with trainers and leadership on opportunities found in the ADC site.
• Must support ADC peers on specific duties as needed.
• Must attend in-service and related training as assigned by team leader coach.
