About The Position
Eastern Lift Truck Co. is seeking a Dock and Door Technician Apprentice to support our Allentown location. This entry-level position offers a formal training program with mentors to learn the mechanics of overhead doors and dock leveling systems, including safety standards and customer interaction. The training includes classroom modules and hands-on experience to prepare you for a career as a Dock and Door Technician.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Clean driving record

- Comfortable with heights
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Welding / fabricating experience
Responsibilities
- Assist lead technician in the installation and/or repair of overhead door and dock leveling systems
- Help to resolve issues to customer satisfaction within policy
- Learn troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems pertaining to the operation of overhead doors and dock leveling systems
- Works from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts. Wears PPE and fall protection
- Use of technology (such as tablet & cellphone) for documenting work performed & communication with customers and internal office personnel
