Class A CDL Trainee – Start Your Career With Paid Training
About The Position
NIS Express is hiring Class A CDL graduates in North Charleston, SC, who are ready to start earning from day one. This position offers paid training for 3 to 5 weeks with a dedicated trainer, covering safe handling of a Class A tractor-trailer, ELD operation, hours-of-service rules, pre and post-trip inspection procedures, and dispatch operations. The role involves dry van freight, 100% no-touch, primarily drop and hook, on regional routes east of I-35. Drivers will operate 2024–2025 Freightliner or Kenworth trucks equipped with APUs. Weekly pay ranges from $1,200 to $1,500 via direct deposit, with home time available weekly or every other week.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- 21 years of age or older
- 120 or more hours from an accredited CDL school
- Clean driving record
- Must pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen

Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely in all road conditions.
- Utilize ELD and adhere to hours-of-service rules.
- Perform pre and post-trip inspections.
- Understand and follow dispatch instructions for all runs.
- Transport dry van freight, primarily drop and hook, on regional routes east of I-35.
