About The Position

South Central Illinois Mass Transit is hiring a full-time, onsite Dispatcher/Scheduler in Breese. The role supports the transportation network by assigning and scheduling vehicles and drivers for passenger transportation, coordinating operational decisions, and responding to real-time challenges. The position also involves clerical work, including typing, filing, and basic mathematical calculations, and providing clients with general information and help with scheduling. The Dispatcher/Scheduler maintains accurate client information and works with clients to resolve issues involving missing, misrouted, or delayed routes. The job offers pay of $17 per hour, with a $0.50 increase after a 90-day introductory period.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or related experience.
Ability to read maps and provide written and oral directions and instructions.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Excellent customer service skills.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of customer service experience is preferred.
