About The Position
54th Street Restaurants is hiring a Dishwasher/Lavaplatos to wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment while helping maintain a clean, organized kitchen. This is an entry-level opportunity to begin or continue a restaurant career; no restaurant experience is required, and training is provided. Team members may learn basic food preparation and other back-of-house duties, with opportunities to develop skills and advance into food preparation, cook, trainer, and leadership roles. The role is available full-time or part-time. The kitchen is busy and high-volume, and the work takes place in a hot, wet, physically active environment. Commercial dishwashing equipment and shift staffing support teamwork. Spanish-speaking team members are present in the kitchen. The English posting lists pay of $15–$18+ per hour; the Spanish posting lists $14–$17+ per hour. Benefits for eligible team members include medical, dental, and vision insurance and paid time off. Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep the dish area, floors, and workspaces clean and organized.
- Return clean items to the correct storage areas.
- Remove trash and assist with general kitchen cleanliness.
- Support the kitchen team during busy shifts.
- Assist with basic food preparation and other back-of-house duties after training.
