About The Position
The Dishwasher position at 54th Street Restaurants is an opportunity to begin or continue a career in the restaurant industry. No restaurant experience is required; training is provided. Dishwashers work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, cleaning dishes and kitchen equipment and supporting the kitchen team with general cleanliness and basic food preparation. The environment is hot, wet, and physically active. The posting offers full-time and part-time opportunities and lists hourly pay of $15–$18+ in English and $14–$17+ in Spanish.
Requirements
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfort working in a hot, wet, and physically active environment.

Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Keep the dish area, floors, and workspaces clean and organized.
- Return clean items to the correct storage areas.
- Remove trash and assist with general kitchen cleanliness.
- Support the kitchen team during busy shifts.
- Assist with basic food preparation and other back-of-house duties as trained.
