About The Position

The Dishwasher, also described as a Steward, maintains kitchen cleanliness, washes dishes, and supports the culinary team by helping ensure a safe and organized work environment. The role involves operating dishwashing equipment, hand-washing cookware and other items, cleaning and maintaining the dish machine and disposal areas, and keeping the dishwashing area clean and free of debris.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to operate a dishwashing machine and floor machines.
Ability to speak and understand English and interact with guests and co-workers.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 31–40 pounds.

Responsibilities

Load and operate dishwashing machines effectively.
Hand-wash pots, pans, and other items according to sanitation and cleanliness standards.
Clean the dish machine by emptying and refilling tanks, ensuring curtains are set up, emptying grease traps and barrels, and checking and replenishing rinse agent and detergent.
Promptly notify the Supervisor of irregularities with the dish machine.
Clean and empty disposal drains regularly.
Keep the dishwashing area and floor clean and free from debris.
