About The Position

The Dishwasher maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and the dish room area. Employees may work alone or as part of a team under moderate conditions and must keep kitchen items washed and sanitized throughout their shift. The role uses high-temperature dishwashing machines and requires adherence to company sanitation procedures and applicable company policies and laws.

This seasonal, part-time position at Snapdragon Stadium requires schedule flexibility based on operational needs. Shifts may include opening, midday, closing, or night work, as well as weekends and holidays. Duties may vary by location, and additional duties may be assigned based on business needs.

Work takes place in food-production areas and outdoors. Conditions include exposure to food fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, heat, humidity, cleaning chemicals, varying weather, dust, allergens, and moderate to loud noise. The role involves standing, walking, and moving throughout the dish room for up to eight hours, along with handling and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team with co-workers, kitchen staff, and management, and to work alone.
• Ability to learn and operate dish machines.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; follow verbal and written instructions; and communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out general written or oral instructions.
• Ability to use a variety of equipment and utensils.
• Ability to stand, walk or move, reach, bend, stoop, wipe, and move throughout the dish room for up to eight hours.
• Ability to handle objects, utensils, tools, or controls and move, lift, or carry objects or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Availability for a flexible schedule that may include opening, midday, closing, and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Satisfactory completion of a background check after a conditional offer and before beginning work.

Nice To Haves

• Food Handler’s certificate from the County of San Diego.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other items from the kitchen and other areas.
• Wash and sanitize items in a timely manner throughout the shift.
• Learn and operate all aspects of high-temperature dishwashing machines.
• Clean and sanitize the dish room or area, empty trash, and sweep.
• Follow company sanitation procedures and comply with applicable company policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
