About The Position

The Bartender supports food and beverage operations at Snapdragon Stadium by serving guests, maintaining service standards, and ensuring proper drink portions and responsible alcohol service. The role includes full bar service, cash and point-of-sale transactions, replenishing products, maintaining clean service areas, and helping assess inventory and prepare product orders. The position requires a professional appearance, strong guest-service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced stadium environment. It is seasonal and part-time, with schedules based on operational needs, including opening, mid-day, and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays. Work is typically outdoors in a loud stadium environment and may involve varying weather, extreme temperatures, fumes, airborne particles, cleaning chemicals, and nearby moving mechanical parts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED; related experience, advanced training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
At least two years of bartending experience.
Knowledge of mixology and basic drink recipes.
Ability to recognize and deter guests from becoming intoxicated.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Cash-handling skills and point-of-sale (POS) experience.
Ability to read, write, and understand English and follow verbal and written instructions.
Ability to use a variety of equipment and utensils.
Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
Must maintain a neat, professional appearance and adhere to uniform and grooming standards.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift and move, lift, or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs, including opening, mid-day, and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Food Handler’s certificate from the County of San Diego.
Responsible Beverage Service certification.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent guest service in a fast-paced environment.
Serve alcoholic beverages and prepare drinks efficiently while maintaining proper portions.
Check customers’ identification to verify they are of legal drinking age and recognize and deter intoxication.
Greet and serve guests at registers, take orders, accept payments, and handle cash and credit card transactions.
Replenish products and maintain adequate product levels during events.
Keep counters, wells, and guest-facing areas clean.
Assess inventory and assist with preparing product orders as needed.
Follow company policies and applicable federal, state, and local employment, safety, and health laws and regulations.
Work schedules based on operational needs, which may include opening, mid-day, and closing shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Perform other duties as assigned.
