About The Position

The Dishwasher helps keep Flanigan’s restaurants clean and sanitary inside and out. This role washes and sanitizes dishware, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment; maintains cleanliness throughout the shift; and supports assigned preparation, opening, closing, and beautification duties. The Dishwasher also prepares and maintains the dish machine and follows company safety and sanitation policies and training.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Ability to reach, bend, and stoop.
• Ability to immerse hands frequently in water diluted with chemical solutions.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times per shift and place heavy loads on high shelves and in coolers and freezers.
• Ability to work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans.
• Ability to work safely with sharp knives and utensils.
• Ability to complete and pass the required food safety certification program.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Wash and provide clean, sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils using Flanigan’s sanitation policies.
• Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including sweeping and mopping floors and removing debris.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, and beautification duties.
• Prepare and maintain the dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing.
• Support fellow employees as needed.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with Flanigan’s requirements and Florida statutes.
