About The Position

The Dishwasher helps maintain a clean and sanitary restaurant, ensuring that items and areas are cleaned to high standards. The role involves washing dishware and kitchen equipment, maintaining the dish machine, keeping the kitchen clean, and completing assigned preparation, opening, closing, and beautification duties. The position requires working safely in a damp, high-temperature environment and supporting fellow employees as needed.

Requirements

• Physically stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Reach, bend, and stoop.
• Frequently immerse hands in water diluted with chemical solutions.
• Speak, read, and write English.
• Lift up to 50 pounds several times per shift, including lifting heavy loads to high shelves, coolers, and freezers.
• Work in a damp, high-temperature environment indoors and minimally outdoors.
• Work safely with hot plates, pots, and pans.
• Work safely with sharp knives and utensils.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Wash and provide clean, sanitized plateware, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils according to sanitation policies.
• Clean and sanitize throughout the shift.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, and removing floor debris.
• Perform assigned prep work, opening and closing duties, and beautification duties.
• Prepare and maintain the dish machine at opening, during business hours, and at closing.
• Support fellow employees as needed.
• Complete and pass the food safety certification program in compliance with company policies and Florida statutes.
