About The Position

FLIK is hiring a full-time Dishwasher at Capital One in Sterling, Virginia. The role maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen and work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition. The fixed pay rate is $23.75 per hour. Days and hours may vary; further schedule details are provided during the interview. Previous dishwashing experience is preferred. Free meals, uniforms, and laundering service are available at select locations.

Responsibilities

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, then wash them by hand or load them into a dishwashing machine according to the assigned equipment; ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans, and trays according to assigned procedures and ensure cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using the assigned equipment and procedures, such as a burnishing machine, chemical dip, buffing wheel, or hand cloth.
• Comply with established safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels according to provided standards.
• Keep the dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors in compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food-preparation surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam-clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
